Tax Filing Preperation ?

In getting together my stuff for tax filing I cannot remember if the preparer needs only our deposit slip for direct deposit of the refund or both a check and deposit slip. I want to be prepared and used an internet check list, but for some odd reason I was thinking last year they also asked for a voided check along with the voided deposit slip. I want to have my stuff ready when we get our W2s to file.

Usually a voided check. But why not just grab both and take them with you?

A voided check is what is needed; it has the 9 digit routing number for the bank, and the account number.

Sometimes the deposit slip doesn’t have all of the necessary info (I saw one like that last year) so take a voided check if you are leaving it with them – if you are just showing it to them so they can type the numbers into their computer, you don’t even have to void it.

if you have no house just income check: w2 or 1099
if you have house , mortgage paper / taxes/ interst paid, and income paper s w2/1099.
ther is no need any checks, your w2 has all totals from your employer
Relax, and call your accountant first of february. when you will get all your tax by mail
